Switch’s LED Bulb to Light Up CES
The prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. Switch was named a CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award Honoree in November, 2011. The Switch75 LED bulb will be displayed in the Innovations Winner's Showcase at the 2012 International CES, which runs January 10-13, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Switch claims to be the first manufacturer to announce a family of LED bulbs with 40, 60, 75 and 100 watt-equivalents. Switch bulbs can be turned on instantly and can be used in any orientation like the conventional incandescent light bulb. Switch notes that the company's bulbs were also recently featured as one of TIME's 50 Best Inventions of 2011, as well as on the cover of WIRED Magazine's September issue.
